But not all of them would expect a great result, some of them regret playing role in the superhero movies.

Christian Bale , one of the actor who managed to play a superhero in the movie The Dark Knight Trilogy. But in fact he actually regretted starring in it, because he felt that he wasn’t perfect for the role.
Andrew Garfield (Spiderman) - Spider-Man
Andrew Garfield is a Spider-Man's big fans since he was 3 years old. His dream came true when he was chosen to play Spidey in the film The Amazing Spider-Man. Later he regretted his decision as he felt that this movie wasn’t as good as the other old Spiderman movies.
He said that the new Spiderman film he starred in focused too much on making money than making good movies.
Hugo Weaving (Red Skull) - Captain America: The First Avenger
Hugo Weaving openly stated that he doesn’t really care about this film. He wasn’t very interested in returning to play the Red Skull due to the difficulty of the makeup process. That's why Red Skull was finally replaced by Ross Marquand in Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
Mickey Rourke (Ivan Vanko) - Iron Man 2
Rourke studied his character really hard when he starred in Iron Man 2, he actually visited Butyrka prison in Russia, and used his personal money to buy property that would be used in the movie. But Rourke was very disappointed when the film-maker decided to cut most of his scenes, saying "If they want to make mindless comic books, then I don't want to get involved anymore”.
Terrence Howard (Rhodes) - Iron Man
In Iron Man, Howard plays James Rhodes who is a good friend of Tony Stark. Later he stated that he doesn’t want to play that character again due to money problem with Robert Downey Jr.
It seemed that Robert was not happy that Terrence was getting a bigger paycheck than himself. So in the second film Robert asked for a raise by reducing Terence’s salary.
Jared Leto (Joker) - Suicide Squad
Jared Leto was praised a lot for his role as Joker in Suicide Squad. However he was still disappointed with the end result of the movie as most of his scene was cut by the film-maker.
Idris Elba (Heimdall) - Thor: The Dark World
Elba stated that he was disappointed with the lack of character development of his character in Thor movie franchise. However after appearing in Thor: The Dark World, Elba was so frustrated that he was considering of leaving the film. Lucky for him, his character was finally killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
Kate Mara (Sue Storm) - Fantastic Four
Kate Mara admitted that she was a little embarrassed to see herself in Fantastic Four after hearing an unpleasant criticism for the movie. She was afraid that it will drag her career down.
Ben Affleck (Daredevil)
Many fans doubted Ben Affleck’s role as Batman at the beginning of his career as a Caped crusader, and the main reason was because of the movie Daredevil that he starred in 2003. That's why Affleck hated his role in Daredevil. The film has actually damaged his credibility as an actor.
George Clooney (Batman) - Batman & Robin
Considered to be one of the top actors, most movies starring George Clooney always capture people’s attention. Despite the fact, he regretted his role in Batman. Apparently, the film received many unpleasant critiques. This includes batman’s nipple suit which was made fun of by viewers. Due to this incident, George Clooney had reminded himself to carefully choose his role the next time he gets a new opportunity to play a character.
Edward Norton (Hulk)
Incredible Hulk played by Edward Norton, who is famous for his role in Fight Club, turned out to have regretted playing as the big green superhero. When he agreed to play Hulk, he had to rewrite several scripts from the film, which resulted in frequent debates with the director during filming.
This led to him being replaced by Mark Rufallo in the film, The Avengers.
Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern) - Green Lantern
Reynolds who played as a character in Deadpool successfully broke the Box-office. Before his success Reynold played as a superhero in Green Lantern. He regretted the fact that he was unemployed for a long period of time after starring in Green Lantern.
